Nearly 20 years of business development (BD) and program leadership experience at international development nonprofits. BD experience includes strategy, capture, writing, and managing over 75 proposals that won more than $550 million from the U.S. Government (USG) -- including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), U.S. State Department Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), U.S. Department of Education (DOE), and National Science Foundation (NSF) -- as well as corporate, and foundation donors. Led and wrote proposals that secured $50 million in two years for IIE’s first USAID workforce development, research partnership, and girls education programs and first USAID programs in Myanmar and Sub-Saharan Africa (Liberia). Served on task force that created and implemented plans to restructure IIE's program development function to centralize proposal writing under the business development team, which improved proposal quality and consistency, and allowed tracking of return on investment (ROI) on proposal spending to optimize decision making.
